About SJO:

The Spokane Jazz Orchestra is a 17-piece ensemble made up of some of the best jazz musicians in the Northwest. Their concerts draw from the full range of jazz music – standards from icons like Count Basie and Duke Ellington – along with innovate arrangements of a wide range of music from pop to rock to bluegrass and more.

More than half of SJO members are college music professors, while several others are high school music teachers. Many have played professionally in big band touring groups and other jazz orchestras; others play in the Spokane Symphony Orchestra. Performances feature amazing solos and improvisation from highly accomplished musicians and talented guest artists.

About Joe Brasch:

Spokane Guitar Legend Joe Brasch lives and breathes music.

As a studio musician, Joe has written and recorded music for all the major networks, including 2 show opens for National Geographic and an acoustic package for Good Morning America. His compositions have netted him an Emmy, a Promax award and placement in the Dreamworks production “She’s the Man” starring Amanda Bynes.

As a performer, Joe is enjoying long partnerships with Peter Rivera (former lead vocalist and drummer for “Rare Earth,”) and “The Trailer Park Girls” with Doug Clark, the award-winning columnist from the Spokesman Review. Joe is also an accomplished producer and founder of the FutureSong Foundation to help young people achieve their full potential through music and mentorship.

Joe will be some of his favorite jazz standards with the Spokane Jazz Orchestra, along with his wife and other surprise guest artists.
