About SJO
The Spokane Jazz Orchestra is a 17-piece ensemble made up of some of the best jazz musicians in the Northwest. Their concerts draw from the full range of jazz music – standards from icons like Count Basie and Duke Ellington – along with innovate arrangements of a wide range of music from pop to rock to bluegrass and more.
More than half of SJO members are college music professors, while several others are high school music teachers. Many have played professionally in big band touring groups and other jazz orchestras; others play in the Spokane Symphony Orchestra. Performances feature amazing solos and improvisation from highly accomplished musicians and talented guest artists.
About the Show
The SJO Christmas concert is a much-loved holiday tradition, and this year will feature music from the iconic 2001 album, “A Nancy Wilson Christmas” -- a collection of traditional tunes delivered with beautiful understatement and jazz styling.

About Sacha Boutros
Sacha is a producer, composer and multi-lingual singer with a four-octave range. She captivates audiences with her sultry vocals and is celebrated for singing jazz in 14 languages.
She is Grammy nominated, with numerous awards on the international music scene. Sacha has toured extensively throughout the world and is one of the top jazz artists today with a career spanning over two decades. She is well versed in classical music and musical theater and has been playing piano since age 4. She was mentored early in her career by Nancy Wilson, whose music is the focus of this SJO performance.
As a global peace ambassador of goodwill, Sacha uses music as a tool to create community and designs peace murals to build bridges between bordering nations. She produces jazz records on the label she founded and is one of the few female producers in the music business. She also founded Sacha’s Supper Club in San Diego to bring community together with dining, dancing, social and musical experience revisiting the elegance of a bygone era.
Sacha lives between San Diego and Paris, sits on several education, arts and cultural boards, mentoring young jazz artists and volunteering at the American Cathedral in Paris.
